Hi Everyone!!!

Are you getting ready for the release of Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace 3D in theaters starting on February 10th? Who are you going with? Are you going in costume or just your favorite Star Wars t-shirt? I am super excited! To be perfectly honest with you, Episode I is not my favorite movie of the 6 movies, The Empire Strikes Back would take that title. However, what I am so excited about is that I get to enjoy this movie with my nieces and nephews who will be seeing this movie in a movie theatre for the first time. I had the opportunity to watch all of the prequels in the movie theatre when they were originally released, but my nieces and nephews were too young or not even born yet. To introduce a new generation to their first Star Wars movie theatre experience will be a really special moment for me.

As I gear up for the release I found something new to do with my time. For those of you who don’t know, I travel A LOT. To help me with my business and travel, my husband got me an iPad for my birthday last year and I am constantly using it on the road or the long plane flights. Well, my husband and I had to travel this weekend and we found a new Star Wars game for my iPad called Star Wars Brisksaber. Let me tell you what,  it’s so much fun and addicting! It made our plane flights go by so much faster! This game is FREE and is available to download for your Apple or Android products by going to the iTunes store or The Android Market. The game is simple, once you’ve downloaded the game, press play and it will give you a choice between the Light Side or The Dark Side (I prefer the Light Side). Then you choose whether you want to play under a timed trial or fight for your survival. Finally, choose your lightsaber (I prefer Qui-Gon Jinn’s because it’s green like Ahsoka’s) and then tap Play. You will see your chosen lightsaber center screen and you control the lightsaber by touching the screen with your finger and Here’s where the fun begins! You have to use the lightsaber to slice in half all of the enemy objects and characters that fly onto the screen. It’s SO much fun to cut Darth Sidious or Darth Maul in two! Be careful though because your friends will fly onto the screen and you do not want to slice R2-D2 in half! I accidentally killed many R2-D2′s and not only did it make me sad, but it’ll end your game quickly. As I mentioned before, all of this is for FREE, however, look for certain Brisk drinks with the special Star Wars labeling and under each cap will be special codes to unlock new gear like new lightsabers, characters and ships.

You can also post your scores to your Facebook or Twitter pages and share your scores with your friends. Of course, my husband currently holds the high score between the two of us! This is a simple and somewhat mindless game that kept us going for three hours straight, and we only stopped because the stewardess told us we had to power down our electrical equipment for our decent. I also introduced this game to my nephew, David. He is a HUGE Star Wars fan and he really enjoys this game too. Next to Dave Filoni, my nephew David knows more about Star Wars than anyone else I know. He is very smart and I am very proud of him. He very quickly surpassed my high score within minutes of playing the game for the first time. I asked David to do a video with me and give a demonstration of the game. See the video below.

Just a reminder that Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace 3D comes out in theaters on February 10th! I hope you get to share Star Wars and this movie theatre experience with someone new, like I do with my nieces and nephews! I also hope you will check out this new Star Wars Brisksaber game! It’s so addicting and so much fun!

All my best,
Ashley :o

I hope to go opening night, but its doubtful, but I might go the day of. I don’t have time or money to make a costume, but I’m hoping your preview tee shirt and earings will be out before it comes out so I can get them and wear them to see the movie plus alter a old costume to make it more accurate. I wish I had more time, but I’m very excited!!! So many good movies to see in Theaters. Red Tails, Beauty and the Beast, now Star Wars.

    I AM BEYOND EXCITED!!

I can’t wait to see it! I hope to go at midnight like I did for the Cloe Wars premiere…but it’ll be hard getting up for school at 5 the next morning..but…since it’s STAR WARS after all, I think I could be able to pull that off!

Love Brisksaber! I’ve had it for a week or so now and my brother is addicted to it! I hope I can unlock new features soon!

Nice to meet David! Star Wars fans unite!

    Extremely geek chic,
    Lillian Skye

P.S:Mrs. Eckstein did you see in the Bounty Hunters section of the latest Star Wars Insider there is a picture of you and me one of you and my little brother! It’s titled Fangirl Power!! Thank you so much for that experience!

Haha awesome, I’m so glad you found Brisksaber and play on the Light Side too! Alas I will have to watch the video tomorrow due to a slow connection here, but I trust the family plays on the Light Side as well. ^_^

I keep meaning to train the little padawan in our family with the game, but every time I fire it up I’m still playing several moments later, and I have to plug my phone in to keep it from dying! Between that and Angry Birds on my new toy, I totally feel like that Darth Maul Bird I saw on the Star Wars blog. I’m a bit sad that my local Quick Stop doesn’t have a Brisk display complete with twin R2 sentinels though. Genius fans and/or marketing at work there!

I have kept my eyes peeled while playing for flying Huttlets like I saw in the ad, and I know they have to be on the good guy side when they show up because who could bear to saber swipe a baby Hutt? It’s bad enough hearing Artooie squeal when I err! Talk of Huttlets made me randomly think of when you used Stinky as a Her Universe model before, and smile.

Can you imagine seeing TWO George Lucas films at the same theater? I want to see them both, hopefully TPM at midnight (undecided in costume or favorite SW gear, alone or with friends – the youngling in my family is too young for theaters, and of course seeing a Star Wars movie in theaters with fans IS seeing it with friends)! It will be a special treat for me because Episode III was the only one I saw in theaters and from Operation Knightfall on made me cry, Episode II is my favorite, so I am uber excited to start afresh and see my first real 3D movie in theaters. I also want to see B$M with friends.

How cool that Her Universe had a Comic Con panel! After five years of going all days I really got burnt out on Comic Con, it’s such an utter sensory overload and I would only go this year for Awesomecon. In the meantime I’ll stick to Cartoon Network and also consider CVI. I hear there’s a Star Wars marathon on CN this Saturday, I have to check when! I love how many Star Wars ads I’m seeing when I watch TV. It makes me feel what I’m sure is (on a very small scale) akin to what 70′s sci-fi fans might have felt. Not that I’m complaining, especially after hearing George say on Oprah that he never got to experience “Star Wars.” Touche, George. We fight, and we salute you!

well, for one, its on my Mother’s birthday…and i kinda wanted the whole family to go since we’re all Star Wars fans! :D HOWEVER its HER choice not mine AND we’d have to buy the tickets before hand so we can get in…but Im not sure we’re going to see it or not…i honestly thought it was a good idea though…but if we did go, i’d be wearing my Skywalker shirt! :D Epic shirt that is! :P

  10. Thomas says:

Sadly enough the phantom menace is the only one i haven’t seen. I’ve read all the books and i hope to be there opening nigh so i sq see how it all began with my own eyes.

  11. sarahthegeek says:

I got to go see TPM with my friends at midnight last night and it was so exciting!

And I was chatting with some girls sitting in front of us and one of them was wearing the HU shirt with Luke’s face on it, and since I was wearing my purple outline burnout shirt (as well as my necklace that I made with the Rebel Alliance charm), we totally bonded over HU! It was pretty awesome because I’ve never seen anyone around my college campus wearing HU stuff.

And they were HUGE Star Wars fans so we totally geeked out the whole time. Best night ever, even if I did have to get up for my 9 am class this morning!

I just got the app, and I LOVE IT!! The Phatom Menace in 3D was really cool, I brought my dad to see it. It was the first time he’d seen, Episode I. It was my second time seeing the movie, but the first 3D movie I’ve seen. I’m definitely seeing them all in 3D, whenever they do them.

  14. Cheers, I really admire the way u treated the sub… maybe you could come to my internet page and tell some corrections. thank you in advance :)
